Morning: Vancouver Aquarium in Stanley Park โ famous for rescued sea otters, giant Pacific octopus, and hands-on touch pools. Arya will love the marine life; Zian will love touching things.
Afternoon: Science World โ the giant glowing dome at the end of False Creek. The "Eureka!" gallery is full of water physics play and kinetic energy toys perfect for ages 4-7.
Morning: Drive across Lions Gate Bridge to North Vancouver. Visit Capilano Suspension Bridge Park โ go right when it opens to beat crowds.
For the kids: The 450-foot suspension bridge is thrilling for Arya (7). The Treetops Adventure has a kid-friendly eco-scavenger hunt that keeps Zian (4) moving.
Afternoon: Relaxed beach time at Kitsilano Beach โ sand, swimming, and views of the mountains across the water.
Morning: Rent a car and drive north on the Sea-to-Sky Highway โ one of the most beautiful drives in North America.
Stop: Railway Museum of British Columbia in Squamish โ kids can climb aboard real historic cabooses and ride a miniature railway.
Afternoon: Arrive in Whistler Village. The main village is completely pedestrian-only (no cars), so kids can explore safely. Check into hotel and head to the pool.

Morning: Board the Whistler Village Gondola up the mountain. Stop at Roundhouse Lodge for gelato on the sunny patio with Coast Mountain views.
Midday: Take the PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola across to Blackcomb Mountain โ 4.4km in 11 minutes, 436m above the valley floor. The glass-bottom cabins are a spectacular treat. Kids' noses will be pressed to the glass the entire time.
Afternoon: Easy alpine hike โ Cloudraker Loop (0.8km) on Whistler Mountain or Alpine Loop (1.4km) on Blackcomb. Both are suitable for young kids. Then ride the gondola back down.
Evening: Whistler Olympic Plaza Playground โ massive inclusive play space and a great lawn for running.
Morning: Book a family-friendly 4x4 or shuttle tour to look for Whistler's famous Black Bears. Expert guides know exactly where the moms and cubs are feeding on summer berries. Viewing them safely from a vehicle is an unforgettable thrill for a 7-year-old.
Afternoon: Lost Lake Loop โ a completely flat, wide, stroller-friendly trail through pristine woods that leads to a calm lake beach. On a warm August afternoon, the kids can splash in the fresh water. Sandy beach, shallow entry, warm water in summer.
Evening: Walk through Whistler Village โ outdoor playground, ice cream shops, and street performers.
Morning: Take a short 10-minute drive south to Brandywine Falls. It's an incredibly short, completely flat 10-minute walk from the parking lot to a spectacular viewpoint of a 230-foot waterfall dropping into a canyon.
Afternoon: Head back to the village for a relaxed "souvenir and ice cream" day. Let the kids play at the treehouse-themed park in the village center while you enjoy a coffee from a patio nearby.
Morning: Pack up, drive back down the Sea-to-Sky Highway to Vancouver International Airport (2 hours).
Stop: Shannon Falls in Squamish โ a 141-foot waterfall just off the highway, 30-40 minutes south of Whistler. Quick stretch and photo break.
Afternoon: Return rental car, fly YVR โ SFO. Home in time for dinner with no timezone adjustment needed!
